Talent Acquisition Manager

Amsterdam, Netherlands Remote Full-time€75,000 - €100,000

About the role

We are scaling engineering, product, and data teams across Europe and need a TA Manager who can run a high-volume, high-quality hiring engine. You will own recruiting delivery end-to-end: strategy, team leadership, sourcing, hiring-manager partnership, and metrics. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will manage the team and also step in on critical senior and leadership searches.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of recruiters and sourcers, setting targets, reviewing pipelines weekly, and developing talent.
  • Own the hiring plan for engineering, product, data, and design in partnership with department heads and Finance.
  • Build and run a proactive sourcing engine (LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, communities, referrals, events, outbound automation).
  • Reduce time-to-hire and cost-per-hire while protecting quality-of-hire and candidate experience.
  • Manage the ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or similar), including data hygiene, workflows, scorecards, and reporting.
  • Run structured interview processes and train hiring managers on calibration, bias reduction, and closing.
  • Own offer strategy: compensation benchmarking, negotiation, and closing for senior and competitive candidates.
  • Manage agency and RPO vendors, including contracts, SLAs, and fee optimization.
  • Partner with Legal, Mobility, and HR on right-to-work checks, visa sponsorship, relocation, and EU/UK compliance.
  • Drive employer branding and DE&I hiring initiatives in key European markets.
  • Report monthly to leadership on pipeline health, funnel conversion, diversity metrics, and forecast vs. plan.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in technical recruitment, including 2+ years managing recruiters.
  • Proven record hiring software engineers, data/AI talent, and product roles at scale, ideally across multiple European countries.
  • Experience in a high-growth tech company, scale-up, or tech-focused agency/RPO.
  • Strong hands-on ATS and sourcing-tool experience, with data-driven reporting.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR, EU/UK employment practices, and candidate data compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with VPs and C-level leaders.
  • Fluent English required. A second European language (German, Dutch, French, Spanish) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, not required. A CIPD, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.
